This picture has not been edited, hard to believe really. The light around the old mound which is located a few miles from the cidery is just stunning.
Clint and I love the light, it becomes a little hard for most of us in the darker winter months here in Southern Manitoba. We lose daylight so quickly this time of year. This picture is of the Old Mound, a historic site that is very close to the Cidery. When you take a drive out to see us be sure to look for this mound. It makes the prairies seem way less flat that is for sure.
Wooden Gate Cider is located rurally on a mound very similar, the only difference is the mound is a forest so not as obvious. The sunsets and sunrises are just one of the many reasons we live where we do. We get to see sights like this on the regular. Spending time outside, in nature and make award winning cider is a gift really and one we do no take for granted.
As the seasons change and we start to think about warmer months be sure to plan a trip to the country. We have events planned and welcome visitors from near and far. Come breathe the country air, check out the natural landscape and take a drive to see the old mound. Our fist big event at the cidery is the cider release party on May 31, June 1 and 2nd. Tickets have just went on sale so why not plan early? We have private tastings available and plan on hosting a few pizza and cider nights throughout the summer.
Reach out today and come watch the sun set at Wooden Gate Cider.
